Gabon 29 / Traditional medicine in Gabon centers around the medicinal plant of iboga and the world of the spirit called "bwiti." This sign, just off the main road, identifies the school that I studied in as "The World of the Bwiti" hosted by my teacher Nzingo Magaurga. Everyone called him "Zingo." Here the school has arranged the equipment necessary for a three-day camping trip in the nearby forest.
